SEMINAR PRINCIPLES
1. Presence and Attention
We aim to minimize the use of cell phones during class to cultivate full presence and mutual attention. Our shared space functions best when we are attentive and engaged with one another.
2. Consent and Transparency
Any use of images, names, recordings, or personal information will always be discussed and agreed upon beforehand. Consent is a foundational value in our work together.
3. Reciprocity and Collective Responsibility
The seminar is built on reciprocity; we learn with and from each other. All comments, ideas, and formats are open to discussion, but concerns or suggestions should be voiced so they can be addressed collectively.
4. Tone and Respect
The way we speak and refer to each other matters. We commit to maintaining a tone of mutual respect and care that supports a welcoming, inspiring, and safe atmosphere for everyone.
5. Diversity, Inclusion, and Sensitivity
We approach political and social topics with awareness of different backgrounds, perspectives, and sensibilities. Diversity, inclusion, and intercultural understanding are central to our exchanges.
6. Invisible Pedagogies and Creative Openness
The seminar follows the principles of invisible pedagogies: learning emerges through dialogue, curiosity, and shared experimentation. All creative turns, ideas, and unexpected directions are welcome.
7. Communication and Trust
Open, direct, and assertive communication with the teacher and peers is essential. If challenges arise, we address them early and collectively to preserve the well-being and trust within the group.
8. Atmosphere of Care
Above all, we protect the atmosphere of the seminar as a space of care, curiosity, and co-creation, where everyone can participate freely, respectfully, and imaginatively.
